Missions

Missions is a central part of Lakeland Church’s focus for ministry. Our approach is reflective of Acts 1:8 as we are actively engaged in missions locally, nationally, internationally and through mission education.

For the last two summers we’ve hosted a Yard Sale to benefit missions and our Grain Offering in June directly benefits specific missions work and missions organizations locally, nationally, internationally and by supporting Lakeland attendees who participate in short-term missions.

In the past couple of years we’ve prayed for and financially supported Lakeland members as they have made short-term mission trips to:

The mission of this team is to keep the focus of our church on sharing our faith, going on mission trips, planning community projects and educating our church on missions.

Five teams make-up the missions team:

Local Missions Team
This team coordinates and plans local evangelism projects and campus ministry.

North American Missions Team
The focus of this team is to research and plan mission projects around our nation and to communicate with missionaries and other national ministries.

International Missions Team
The people that work together on this team have a heart for reaching the nations. This team communicates with international missionaries and works to provide opportunities for our church to travel around the world to share the gospel.

Missions Education Team
This team updates and informs the church about missions in our community and around the world.
